Darrell G. Robertson, 96, of Bridgeport, Nebraska, died October 23, 2023, at Bridgeport, NE.

His memorial service will be November 10, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Prairie Winds Community Center in Bridgeport, with Pastor Steven Seng officiating.

Casual attire please—no ties!

Darrell was born December 19, 1926, in Redington, Nebraska, to Albert William and Eva ReNetta (Snavely) Robertson, and welcomed by older sister, Dolores Arlene. He received his early education at the small country school nearby, graduating from Bridgeport High School in 1944 before joining the US Navy.

He trained in Oklahoma and served in both California and Hawaii aboard the USS Hornet CV-12.

Darrell married Marjorie Martin on September 15, 1946, and to this union three children were born: Dianna of Alaska, Beverley and husband John of Colorado, and Troy of Nebraska. He enjoyed his grandchildren: Kristine of Oklahoma, Christopher and wife Joey of Colorado, Cody and wife Heather of Alaska, Shane of Alaska; and three great-granddaughters, Alicia and Jenna of Colorado and Alora of Alaska.
