Dorothy “Sissy” Seeley, 61

Dorothy “Sissy” Seeley, 61, of Bridgeport, Nebraska, died Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Chimney Rock Villa in Bayard, Nebraska. Cremation will take place in accordance with Dorothy’s wishes and a celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2024. Memorials may be made in care of the family. Dorothy was born on June 24, 1962, to Dorothy Lee Cummings and John Franklin Foster, and was named after her grandmother, Dorothy Beatrice Ashmetot.

Dorothy, in her younger years, managed an apartment complex. In her most recent years, she was a landlord for rental properties.

30 years ago, Dorothy met Floyd Woznick, whom she loved dearly. He was her significant other for the past 12 years. They spent every day by each other’s side and had a relationship that only they understood. Not only was he the love of her life, but he was her best friend.

Dorothy was a devoted Christian and was very spiritual. She lived by the golden rule, always thinking of others, and would give you the shirt off her back. She cared deeply for others and had a heart of gold.

She would always say that one of her biggest accomplishments were her children.

She had an overwhelming amount of love for each and every one of them. She also loved being a grandma and her grandkids were the light of her life. She had such a unique personality and cared so much for those around her. Dorothy loved giving gifts to her family to show her love and appreciation. In her spare time, she loved creating diamond paintings, coloring pieces of art, watching hallmark movies, making sure that her nails were perfectly done, and practicing popular makeup trends. In her younger years, she had a passion for music and dancing.

Dorothy is predeceased by her mother, father, and grandparents; her brother, Robert Lee Foster; her sister, Barbara Jean Petteway; her daughter -in-law, Jessica Foster, and her unborn baby boy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her children, Joshua Foster, Jessica (Shawn) Jeffords, Tammy (Dane) Jeffords, Tera Foster, Venette (Shadow) Hambek; her grandchildren, Eli Foster, Jessel (John) Harris, Keiera (Essa) Jeffords, Jaden Jeffords, Eva Jeffords, Alaina Jeffords, Zack Jeffords, James Jeffords, Emmery Glenn, Camrynn Davenport, Tristan Hambek, and Nevareah Hambek; her great-grandchild Johnathen Harris; her sister, Debi Lucks and her two brothers, Shane Whitehead and Timothy Foster.
