Three members of the Bridgeport FFA chapter, along with their advisor Christy Schuler, attended the Washington Leadership Conference last month in Washington, D.C.
Members Demi Lapaseotes, Justin Dobrinski, and Tessa Little learned about leadership and how to serve their communities, along with how to help make their dreams a reality with things happening in their lives and the obstacles of everyday life. Members met with politicians and toured the capitol area’s monuments.
Lapaseotes, an incoming senior at Bridgeport High School, said, “This conference changed me in so many ways, and I will forever be blessed that I was able to attend the best conference ever.We were able to tour DC while focusing on serving others around us.We did a community service food project and made the most meals. I learned how to be a leader by always loving first and letting others go before me. I was pretty nervous to go to this conference and not know anyone there, but I walked away with people that are now my best friends.”
