A new custodial contract was agreed upon for the interim custodian and maintenance crew when commissioners met in regular session on Monday, July 24. Ryan Patterson and his son, Zeth Patterson, will be taking on the duties while the application process is open for the full-time position to be filled.
The property sale for the former Pappas property, almost four acres in size, seven miles west and three miles north of Bridgeport, has been pushed back to August 8, 2023.The sale will be at the west doors of the Morrill County courthouse at 9:00 a.m.
Lisa Weborg was granted a liquor license for a fundraiser and celebration at Chimney Rock on July 28-29. The State Historical Society Foundation is hosting Walk To The Rock, dedicating the newly built bridges and trail that lead from the visitor center at Chimney Rock to the base of the rock.
