Bridgeport volleyball and football teams faced off in their own separate scrimmages on Friday night; volleyball first in the gym, followed by the football game under the blazing sun on the field. Both teams are fired up and ready to go for the year.
Four seniors grace both the volleyball and football teams this year. Returning as Bulldogs are seniors to the court are Grace Dean, Brooklyn Mohrman and Megan Cline, who are joined by former Leyton Warrior Kaitlyn Craig, also a senior. The football roster includes seniors Nolan DeBlois at six foot five and 300 pounds, Jake Paschke at five foot nine and 195 pounds, Peyton Abbott at five foot ten and 175 pounds, and Kolby Lussetto at six foot and 150 pounds.
The Bulldogs face off in North Platte for their first game this Friday night against St. Pats, while the Lady Bulldogs travel to Chadron today for a Jamboree before their first game in Bayard next Thursday evening, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
