The Bridgeport City Council met in regular session Thursday, September 14. After a motion to remove item number 10 (Discussion/Posssible Action to approve the department recommended removal of Alicia Pittman and Adam Pittman from the fire department), the Consent Agenda was approved.The Pittmans were in attendance and provided background related to the recommendation from the Volunteer Fire Department.The council decided to take no action regarding the item.
The council conducted a hearing on the One-and-Six-Year Street Improvement Plan. There were no comments on the proposed plan and it was adopted by the council.
Another hearing was held to obtain public comment regarding the possible acquisition of property Part to be Surveyed of Lot 4, Block 5, Original Town of the City of Bridgeport.The property would be used to construct a facility for city public works use.There were no comments made after City Attorney Rodak presented the purchase. The city will proceed toward the acquisition.
