Hearing set to vacate two miles of county roads
Following a public road study recently by County Highway Superintendent Bryan Hoerler, a one mile stretch of Road 105 and one mile stretch of Road 116, Angora, showed there is no longer a need for public access to those roads. The act of vacating these roads, which would reduce the liability for the county, will not landlock the three landowners in that section. Hoerler’s recommendation was to vacate the roads back to landowners.
The roads have not been maintained by the county in several years. A hearing on this issue will be held February 14 at 8:30 a.m. A second hearing was scheduled for February 28 at 8:30 a.m. for an application for an easement on Rush Creek.
