For the second straight year, the Bridgeport football team claimed the Class D-1, District 11 championship in dominating fashion.The Bulldogs, who rolled to a 90-20 win over Morrill in their regular-season finale last Friday, finished with a perfect 4-0 record in the district.
Bridgeport outscored its district competition by a whopping total score of 296-95.
The win also extended the Bulldogs’ winning streak to six in a row. After dropping their first two games of the season, the Bulldogs dominated their next six opponents by a combined score of 430-121. Bridgeport will be off this week before competing in the state playoffs beginning on Oct. 19.
