The Bridgeport football team’s record-setting season came to an end following a 7234 loss to Crofton in the second round of the Class D-1 state playoffs last Friday in Crofton.
Bridgeport, which finished the campaign with a 7-3 record, saw its seven-game winning streak snapped.The Bulldogs advanced to the second round of the postseason for just the second time in school history after beating Alma 70-20 in the first round.
Crofton, which improved to 10-0 with the win, took control of the contest early by jumping out to 28-0 lead in the first quarter.Wyatt Tramp and Will Steffen each scored a pair of touchdowns for the Warriors.
