Lady Warriors end season

Nebraska School Activities Association volleyball subdistrict D12-11 games were played at the number one seed Leyton High School in Dalton on Monday and Tuesday evenings last week. Leyton, having a bye for the first game, faced off against number four Creek Valley in game three, winning easily against the Storm in three sets; 25-7, 25-8, and 25-11.

Nebraska School Activities Association volleyball subdistrict D12-11 games were played at the number one seed Leyton High School in Dalton on Monday and Tuesday evenings last week. Leyton, having a bye for the first game, faced off against number four Creek Valley in game three, winning easily against the Storm in three sets; 25-7, 25-8, and 25-11.

Prior to that, number three Minatare faced number two Potter-Dix.The Coyotes upset the Indians and prepared to take on the Lady Warriors Tuesday evening. At that game, the Lady Warriors won over the visitors easily in three sets, 25-12, 25-15, and 25-15, advancing them to the district finals this past Saturday in Gordon against the Stuart Broncos.

The Lady Broncos went into the match up 26-4 overall and third in D2 District 5.They were coming off a three-game winning streak.The Lady Warriors were 27-5 overall and 1st in D2 District 11 with a fourgame winning streak.While Leyton took the first set 25-23, the Broncos rallied back and dominated the second set, winning it 25-7.The Lady Warriors dug in for the next two sets but fell just short of the win with set scores of 25-19 and 25-22.
