More raises for city employees

Quiet time ordinance revised

It’s quiet time in Bridgeport, at least between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., according to a newly amended ordinance adopted at the Bridgeport city council meeting onThursday evening last week. Council met in regular session at the PrairieWinds Community Center, adopting two ordinances and one resolution. Effective immediately, the ordinance on disturbing the peace has been amended to include that “intentional noise after 10:00 p.m. and before 6:00 a.m. shall be considered violation of City quiet hours and be prosecutable.”

In the other ordinance, James and Lori Miller, who own lots two and six in the Meadowview addition, and Collin Harvey and Kassidy Kildow, who own lot one in that addition on the corner of S. Street and 15th Streets, wished to replat the parcels.

The parcels were replatted as requested into two lots. A resolution to sign the year-end certification of city street superintendent was also approved.
