Bridgeport brings home four first place medals

Bridgeport took fifth place overall at the Mitchell wrestling invite on Friday, January 27, with 65 points, besting the majority of the 23 teams attending. Bridgeport girls ended in 11th place with 40 points.

In first place was Kyra Robbins at 120 pounds, pinning Alexis Welvaert of Sidney at 2:25 and winning over Brooklyn Hoffman of Chadron in a 5-2 decision. Also earning first place was Kamden Parker at 130 pounds. Parker pinned Amelia Stoll of Mitchell twice for the title, once at 1:43, and again at 3:38. Paige Dalimata also earned first in the 125-pound division, though no details were available on her matches at press time.

Earning second place in the 110lb. division was Morgan Amateis and Hayden Marks took third place at 170 pounds.
