It proved to be a perfect week on the hardwood for the Bridgeport boys and girls basketball teams.The squads combined to go 5-0 to finish the week with perfect records.
After dropping their first setback of the season to state-rated North Platte St. Patrick’s on the opening weekend, the Bridgeport boys bounced back nicely with a 57-50 win over Class B Gering and a 67-22 thumping of Hemingford to improve to 3-1.
Bridgeport raced out to a big lead against Gering. Kolby Lussetto’s hot shooting early helped Bridgeport build a 19-4 advantage in the first quarter.
