After a holiday break, the Leyton Warriors are back in action on the basketball court. Lady Warriors remain undefeated, winning their last three games, 56-48 over Perkins County, 52-39 over Paxton, and 43-39 over Hay Springs. Zaili Benish led all scoring.

Against the Plainsmen, Benish scored 26 points, Claire Watchorn, 18, and Shawnee Gamble, ten. Against Paxton, Benish racked up 36 points, and Gamble 12. Against Hay Springs, Benish scored 25, followed by Claire Watchorn with eight. They remain first place in D2 District 11.

The boys’ team is on a bit of a hard luck run, having lost their last four games, but they will have a chance to redeem themselves when they battle Bayard tonight on home court, and travel to Potter-Dix tomorrow night. The Warriors are currently 3-7 overall and third place in D2 District 11.
