Safety is something that we should all be concerned about. I have long been concerned about trucks turning into the Bridgeport Ethanol plant located along State Highway 385. This represents a safety hazard which should have been dealt with when the plant was first constructed.
For several years I have been asking the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) to install turning lanes for traffic going into the plant. Adding turning lanes would eliminate the safety hazard and increase the flow of traffic along State Highway 385.
This week I received notification from NDOT that the turning lane at the Bridgeport Ethanol Plant has been announced.
