Bulldogs tune up for SPVA tourney with wins

The Bridgeport girls and boys basketball teams will enter the South Platte Valley Association Tournament with momentum after registering more wins last week.

Both squads earned high seedings for the tournament.The Lady Bulldogs, who’ve won the SPVA title three straight years, are the top seed and earned a bye into the semifinals.They will face either Chase County or Kimball on Thursday at 5 p.m. at North Platte Community College.The championship game is set for Saturday at 5 p.m.

The Bulldog boys are the second seed for the tournament. After beating Sutherland in the first round, Bridgeport will play either Perkins County or Chase County in a semifinal game on Friday at 7 p.m.The final is scheduled for Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
