Broadwater men honored with Quilt of Valor

Three Broadwater men were nominated by Unit 312 Broadwater Legion Auxiliary for a Quilt of Valor, and each were awarded a quilt during a recent ceremony in Broadwater.The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is, “To cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.”

DickWagoner enlisted in the United States Army on January 20, 1960, at the Selective Service office in Bridgeport, Nebraska.

He served two years, two months, and one week before being honorably discharged. He transferred to the United States Army Reserves in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, at the expiration of his enlisted service on March 26, 1962. He served in the reserves until January 19, 1966.
