Robbins and Marks to wrestle at state

Bridgeport schools hosted the Nebraska School Activities Association girls District 4 wrestling tournament this past weekend, February 3-4, with Bridgeport landing in the 14th place spot out of thirty schools from across the state. Norfolk girls earned first, while Lexington took second and Chadron third.

Bridgeport schools hosted the Nebraska School Activities Association girls District 4 wrestling tournament this past weekend, February 3-4, with Bridgeport landing in the 14th place spot out of thirty schools from across the state. Norfolk girls earned first, while Lexington took second and Chadron third.

Five wrestlers competed at districts for the Lady Bulldogs: Morgan Amateis at 110 pounds, Kyra Robbins at 120 pounds, Paige Dalimata at 125 pounds, Kamden Parker at 130 pounds, and Hayden Marks at 170 pounds.

Robbins placed second overall, pinning Layla Vigil of Perkins County at 1:44, winning by a 6-2 decision over Minden’s Cardenas, and pinning West Holt’s Pistulka at 5:37, before falling to first place champion Saije Phelps of Tyron in a major decision.
