Bridgeport Girl Scouts manned the concession stand and a cookie booth on Saturday and Sunday during the annual Lions Club basketball tournament last weekend.
Girls used their knowledge of cookie products to sell over one hundred boxes of cookies during the weekend, earning a tidy profit for the troop. Additionally, they sold hot dogs, breakfast burritos, candy, Gatorade and water, and soda pop and popcorn to hungry players and their fans.
The scouts are using the money earned last weekend for their annual end of year trip.
