Bridgeport’s B Active group met on March 5 to talk about creative ideas to improve the walkability and rollability of the city of Bridgeport and discuss ways to create safe play areas for kids.
Gail Beyer reported that she was checking with the art students at the high school to see if they wanted to paint crosswalks this spring. May 8 is National Walk and Bike to School Day. A promotional flyer will be distributed at the school with the meeting point for the event potentially at the new bike shop on Main Street near Subway.
From there, kids could walk down 9th Street to the school and law enforcement will be invited to attend.
