Peggy M. Covalt, 90, of Broadwater, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024, at her home after a long battle with cancer and diabetes. Her Celebration of Life service will be held at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Broadwater at a later date.
Inurnment will be at Rosehill Cemetery. At her request, she was cremated. Memorials may be given to the Volunteer Fire Department of Broadwater. Fond memories and condolences may be left at www.bridgeportmemorialchapel. com.
Peggy was born in Broadwater, NE, to Harry and Ellen (Fulcher) Wilson on November 2, 1933.They moved to the farm and she attended a one-room country school, graduating from Broadwater High School in 1951. She married a rancher, Phillip Covalt, in 1952. To this union four children were born: Ronda Gayle,Valerie Jane, Terry Marie and Dallas Grant. Peggy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Broadwater until it was combined with the Messiah Lutheran Church, which she continued to attend.
