Bombers begin practice

With the warmer weather moving in, the Bridgeport Bomber Legion baseball team has traded in the handles of their snow shovels, for the handles of their baseball bats.

Outdoor practice is underway, and the team is less than two months away from their first game, a mid-May tilt in Chadron.The home opener is set for the following night, May 22.

The Bombers lost a handful of players to graduation, though welcome back several who enter camp with another year of valuable playing experience. A good crop of thirteen-year-olds will join the Junior team for their first season, looking to gain from practicing with the older players.
