Dean wins another shot put title in Mitchell

Bridgeport senior Grace Dean continued her impressive start to the track and field season by claiming another firstplace finish in the shot put at the Mitchell Invitational held last Thursday. Dean heaved the iron ball 37 feet, 6 inches to out-distance Gordon-Rushville’s McKinley Grover, who finished second with a mark of 37 feet.

Dean has now finished first in the event in all three of the Bulldogs’ meets so far this season.

She also added a second-place finish in the discus with a distance of 114-9. Grover won with a winning toss of 128-2.
