The Bridgeport boys golf team claimed a second-place finish at its home invitational held last Thursday at Court House & Jail Rock Golf Course. Bridgeport ended the 15-team tournament runner-up with a score of 362. Hemingford finished first with a winning total of 339.
Three Bulldog golfers medaled in the individual top 10. Harrison Barnette led the way with a round of 86 to place seventh. Bodhi Dohse shot a 91 to finish ninth. Holden Shultz grabbed 10th-place with a score of 92.Two other Bulldogs just missed out on top-10 finishes individually. Gage Nein and Kaden Shultz both carded rounds of 93.
Mitchell’s Cael Peters won the individual title with a winning total of 68. He won by nine shots over Hemingford’s Dax Powell, who placed second with a 77.
