JoAnn Evers, 89, of Gering, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bridgeport on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Richard Neugebauer officiating. Inurnment will follow at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery in Bridgeport. It is respectfully requested that in lieu of any flowers, memorials in JoAnn’s honor be made in care of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

JoAnn was born on March 23, 1935, in Unadilla, Nebraska, to John and Anna (Herman) Knickman. She received the gift of Holy Baptism on April 21, 1935, and became a Child of God. She was confirmed in 1948 at North Branch Lutheran Church.
