With just a couple of days until the district tournament, the Bridgeport High School boys golf team continued to round into postseason form with more successful results over the past week.
The Bulldogs carded a 362 to claim the championship of the Storm Invite held last Tuesday in Chappell. Sutherland finished just a stroke behind in second with a 363. A pair of Bulldogs medaled individually. Harrison Barnette carded an 87 to place second and Bodhi Dohse also shot an 87 to finish third. Holden and Kaden Schultz finished just one place out of a top-10 finish as they placed 11th with scores of 94. Nik Weibert shot a 96.
At last Thursday’s Western Trails Conference Tournament held at Kimball’s Four Winds Golf Course, Bridgeport earned a second-place finish with a team score of 343. Kimball took the title with a 338.Two Bulldogs medaled individually. Barnette shot an 82 to place fourth and Dohse carded an 83 to finish fifth. Holden Schultz, Kaden Schultz, and Weibert all finished with scores of 89 to tie for 15th.
