The Bridgeport Board of Education held their regular meeting on February 13th with all board members present along with Mr. Lambert, Mr. Schlothauer, Mr. Simmons and Ms. Vonnie Brown. There were three representatives from the Region 1 Behavior Health Authority to present the board with the services they offer in the Panhandle.
In the two action items of the night the Board offered contracts for the 2023-24 school year.The board approved offering Mrs. Kylee Sterkel a teaching contract for next school year, she will be teaching business. Mrs. Sterkel currently works in the High School office and will have a teaching certificate in business. In the other action item, the board offered a two-year contract to Mr. Schlothauer to be the superintendent. Mr. Schlothauer will receive 145K his first year and family insurance. The board and Mr. Schlothauer will conduct interviews next week to contract a high school principal for next school year.
In administrative reports the following items were discussed: 1.We are hosting girls subdistricts here Monday,Tuesday and Thursday. Our girls are part of this district. Sub-State competition is February 24th for girls, we will not know until this weekend where this game will be. Most likely, it will not be a home game. The only chance is if our opponent is within 180 miles of us.
