In action for the first time this season, the Bridgeport junior and senior legion baseball teams dropped a doubleheader to visiting Sidney last Wednesday at Post Field in Bridgeport.
The Bombers moved out to a 4-1 lead in the senior game following a home run and a sacrifice fly by Josh Kler, but Sidney answered with six runs in both the fourth and sixth innings to rally for a 15-5 victory. Kler, Nik Weibert, Holden Shultz, and Jake Pashke each had a hit for Bridgeport. Kler drove in a pair of runs.
Holden Shultz, Chris Loyd, and Peyton Prior all saw action on the mound for the Bombers. Shultz started and went 3 1/3 innings. He allowed four earned runs on five hits. Loyd had a strikeout.
