Renewals of contracts for predator control and health insurance were the main topics of the commissioners meeting on Tuesday.
USDA Wildlife Specialist Matt Anderson reviewed the program and presented a new five year cooperative service agreement. He mentioned that Nebraska is the only state that does not have state-legislated funds assisting with predator control. USDA spent 303 hours working in the county assisting in the control of coyotes and prairie dogs.The commissioners approved the annual program and a new five-year cooperative service agreement.
The county will be selling the exhibit hall building at the fairgrounds at auction to the highest bidder on July 1, 2024, at 9 a.m. at the east entrance to the Morrill County Courthouse. See the notice on page A5 of this edition for more information.
