Board of Education continues preparations for the next school year

The Bridgeport Board of Education held their regular meeting on July 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school library. All board members were present.The consent agenda included approval of minutes, financial reports, bills and payroll, and was approved unanimously. There were four action items considered by the board.

They approved the 7-12 student handbook, with the exclusion of the eligibility policy, the K-6 student handbook, and the staff handbook.They advanced from first reading the updated board and new board policies.

1. Mrs. Reynold reported on the district’s IDEA grant application totaling over $115,000.
