Property valuations dominate discussion at county board meeting

The Morrill County Commissioners met as the Board of Equalization twice on Tuesday.

They approved reducing the assessed value of grassland that was destroyed by fire to zero for one year.They also approved tax list corrections based on decisions of the Nebraska Tax Equalization and Review Commission.

The board approved the county treasurer’s semi-annual statement and unpaid tax report and a contract with Brody Retchless to provide on-call information technology services to the county at the rate of $1,500 per month, effective July 1, 2024 for one year.
