Meet Tracy Foster, the new owner of Call Me Cupcake.
I asked her how she ended up in Bridgeport. She said that her boyfriend has family in Alliance and that they were driving through town late on a Saturday and saw the store. It was closed at the time. Her impression was, “This is awesome...it’s something I’ve always wanted to do.” Foster said when they saw on Facebook that Karey had it up for sale last summer, her boyfriend told her she should buy it. She said that everything was going well at that point, so she wasn’t interested.
Foster said that in February, he drove through Bridgeport and came in to buy cupcakes for her dad’s birthday. Karey was still here, so he asked her why she was still here. Karey explained that the sale fell through. By this time though, Foster said, the timing was right and everything lined up after that to make the opportunity happen.
