The Bridgeport girls golf team teed off at the season-opening Bayard Invitational held last Thursday at Chimney Rock Golf Course.
Bridgeport enjoyed a strong start as the Bulldogs finished second with a 502 total. Chadron won the tournament with a 409.
Mara Soto was the lone individual medalist for Bridgeport. She carded a 107 to place eighth. Katie Eckhardt just missed out on a medalist finish as she placed 11th with a score of 115. Olivia Brown and Emma Dohse both carded scores of 140, while Olivia Joles finished with a 145.
