The Leyton volleyball team swept its way to the championship of the Garden County Invitational on Saturday in Oshkosh.
Leyton, which improved to 9-0, breezed past all three of its opponents to finish on top. Senior setter Zaili Benish reached 1,000 assists for her career in the tournament.
In the championship match, Leyton took down the host Eagles 25-15, 25-20. Benish recorded a double-double of 17 assists and 10 digs. Riley Jones and Shawnee Gamble led the hitting attack at the net with seven kills each. Gamble also served a team-high four aces and finished with seven digs. Kaydence Haupt led the Warriors defensively with 14 digs. Sydney Fortune finished with 10 digs.
