Bulldog runners compete against state’s best in Kearney

The Bridgeport cross country team entered the University of Nebraska Kearney Invitational on Monday at Kearney Country Club. Many of the top teams and runners in the state were competing.

In the Class C girls race, Bridgeport ended 24th in the team standings. Kyra Robbins led the Bulldogs with a 51stplace finish in a time of 22 minutes, 56 seconds. Taylor Bright clocked a 24:42 to finish 114th.

Next in line for the Bulldogs were Elizabeth Velasquez in 166th place in a time of 26:56 and Samantha Hill in 167th in 27:06. Also for the Bulldog girls, Janessa Lussetto finished 181st in 27:32 and Elly Dominguez was 182nd in 27:43.
