The Bridgeport Board of Education held their regular meeting on October 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school library. All board members were present except Justin Corman who was excused.
The consent agenda included the approval of minutes, financial reports, bills and payroll. All of these passed with a 5-0 vote.The board’s only action item was to consider a resignation from Trish Schmunk effective at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.This was approved unanimously.
Mr. Simmons reported that the elementary school had a 91% attendance rate for Parent/ Teacher Conferences and the Scholastic Book Fair raised $5,000. The district will celebrate Red Ribbon Week beginning October 28th. Character Counts will be October 25th.
