Warriors end season in state playoffs

The Leyton Warriors had its impressive first season of 6-man football come to an end in a first-round, state-playoff contest against Diller-Odell last Friday afternoon in Dalton.

The Griffens’ one-two punch of Teghan Rosebaugh and Brayden Wendland combined to score eight touchdowns in a 54-26 win. Rosebaugh rushed for 140 yards and four touchdowns, while Wendland threw for 110 yards and totaled four scores.

With the win, Diller-Odell advances into the quarterfinals to face top-seeded Sumner-Eddyville-Miller. The loss ended Leyton’s campaign at 6-3 under first-year head coach Cody Gamble.
