Bridgeport students attended the Chadron State College’s annual Scholastic Day Contest onWednesday, October 9. First place winners received a $500 tuition waiver for the 20252026 academic year and a CSC sweatshirt. Medals were awarded to the top three places in each test. Certificates of Merit were awarded to those students finishing in the top 25% of each test. Schools are awarded points based on the top 25% finishers in their individual tests. Schools compete with districts with similar enrollment numbers. Bridgeport placed first in Division III with 12 other school districts. (St.Thomas More, Burns, South Platte,Valentine, Gordon-Rushville, Bennett County, Mitchell, Ainsworth, Hemingford,West Holt, and Boyd County).
