Many Bridgeport High School athletes were honored by the Western Trails Conference for their successful performances on the football field and volleyball court this fall.
Nik Weibert was named the conference’s 8-man football offensive most valuable player. The junior quarterback was a driving force in Bridgeport’s 7-3 campaign that resulted in a third straight district championship and a berth in the second round of the D-1 state playoffs. He finished the season completing 90 of his 153 passes for 1,276 yards and 20 touchdowns. Weibert also rushed 83 times for another 425 yards and seven touchdowns.
Weibert was joined on the all-conference team by four of his teammates. Named all-conference alongside him were senior Cole Katen, junior Logan Levick, junior Cole Leithead, and sophomore Landon Dean.
