In game action for the first time following the Christmas break, the Bridgeport High School girls’ and boys’ basketball teams split decisions against visiting North Platte St. Patrick’s on Thursday…Monday, Governor Pete Ricketts and State leaders introduced proposals to strengthen Nebraska’s water resource…Jeff Nichols gathers the second and third graders around to explain the drills they are going to be doing at Saturday morning’s Bitty Ball Basketball clinic.The successful program for K/1st and 2nd/3rd graders will continue for another three weeks…In the area’s first significant winter weather storm, Bridgeport saw about five inches of snow last week with somewhat treacherous driving conditions because of the high winds…Girl Scout Christmas activities included craft and card making, as well as singing Christmas Carols up and down Main Street, stopping at businesses to sing… Kyra Robbins takes first place in the girls wrestling in the 114lb. class…An arrest warrant for two local men involved in a dirt bike accident last summer in the northern part of Morrill Co. was issued and both men were arraigned on charges this year.
