For an amazing fifth straight year, the Bridgeport girls basketball team reigned supreme as champions of the South Platte Valley Association Tournament on Saturday night at North Platte Community College.
Bridgeport capped off a dominating 5-peat by beating Chase County 62-36 in the championship game to improve to 15-1 on the season.
“I thought we were great today,” Bridgeport head coach Dave Kuhlen said after the win. “I thought our energy was really, really good. We paid attention to a lot of details, and we worked really hard on our press.We were rewarded for that hard work.”
