Leyton High School senior Zaili Benish continues to set records and reach milestones in her final season on the hardwood for the Warriors’ girls basketball team.

Following Leyton’s 68-27 win over Hyannis on Saturday, Benish was recognized for surpassing the 2,000-point mark for her career. She accomplished the feat earlier, but waited to celebrate it with her teammates on Leyton’s senior day.

Benish is now the school-record holder for both career points scored and points scored in a season. She surpassed the marks previously held by Madelyn Watchorn.
