For the sixth consecutive year, the Bridgeport girls basketball team claimed a sub-district championship after beating Ogallala 57-41 in the C1-10 final on Saturday at Bridgeport High School.
With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 24-1 on the season and will now host Battle Creek in the C1-5 district final on Friday at 4 p.m.The winner will qualify for the state tournament, which begins on March 5th in Lincoln.
Bridgeport is aiming for a fifth straight trip to state as a district champion.The Bulldogs will clash with a Battle Creek opponent that boasts a record of 17-8.The Braves fell to Columbus Scotus in a sub-district final.
