TheWest Nebraska Arts Center, with the support of the Nebraska Arts Council, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, and National Endowment for the Arts is pleased to present “Imagination” by Kathy Edwards, a local artist whose works will be in the Main Gallery for one month. She will display acrylic, watercolor, glass, and fiber art.This show will have both 2D and 3D work. Edwards takes delight in creating artwork meant to celebrate the natural world. Her subject matter is often the beautiful region ofWestern Nebraska and Wyoming. She would love for you to ask questions about her work or her technique.
Edwards has a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Arts & Business Administration. She taught at Converse County School District #1 and the EasternWyoming College for 12 years. Edwards taught electronic artwork, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, alcohol ink, and more. Her work has been in the Vera Dulaney Memorial Art Show for Oregon Trail Days. Edwards was a co-designer for the Industrial Development Brochure. She also designed the highway signage for the Village of Morrill. In her retirement she still loves to share her process and sources for the mediums she uses.
This fabulous artist also teaches the After School Art Program (grades 4-6) and Edwards classes at the West Nebraska Arts Center.
