The Bridgeport boys basketball team’s season came to a heartbreaking end following a 54-47 overtime setback to Omaha Concordia in the Class C-1, District 3 final on Saturday afternoon in Omaha.
Bridgeport, which was making its eight straight appearance in a district final, ends the campaign with a final record of 19-8. Concordia improved to 21-4 and will advance to the state tournament in Lincoln for a fifth straight year.
The Bulldogs led for the majority of the contest after going in front at the start of the second quarter. Zach Lussetto banked in a 3-pointer as time expired in the first half to give Bridgeport a 20-14 lead at intermission.
