County finalizes plans for County Government Day April 9

On March 25, as a Board of Equalization, the commissioners approved a tax exemption for the Bridgeport Community Church since they no longer house a day care center, and a tax list correction for a mobile home that is leaving the county.

The tax sale report was approved and showed $42,590.61 in remaining taxes, with many small parcels under $10.

The county tourism committee’s lighting project at Courthouse and Jail Rocks was discussed, with an estimated cost of $110,000.The commissioners asked the committee for an updated list of members and the expiration of their terms.They also asked the committee to consider creating an application process for organizations to request tourism committee funding.
