The Leyton track and field teams competed at the Burns Invitational last week in Burns,Wyoming.
In the girls division, Leyton placed seventh with a score of 29.5. Leading the charge was the 4x400 relay team that finished first in a time of 4 minutes, 28.55 seconds. Running on the winning team were Riley Jones, Shawnee Gamble, Macey Roelle, and Zaili Benish.The same foursome ran to a second-place finish in the 1,600 sprint-medley relay with a time of 4:33.36.
Jones earned a third-place finish in the high jump by clearing 4 feet, 7 inches.
