New crosswalks forthcoming on Main Street

City Administrator Dawn Martin introduced during council meeting

A meet and greet was held for new City Administrator Dawn Martin at the conclusion of Thursday evening’s council meeting. She began her work with the city on March 13, and is in the process of getting to know the council members and city staff. Her salary was set during the meeting at $6,500/ month from now until September 13, with a $500/month raise effective September 13, 2023.

She also receives a $400 travel stipend until she establishes residency within the City of Bridgeport, which must happen before March 13, 2024. She will be reimbursed for actual moving expenses up to $2,500.

In other business, Dane Jeffords, city worker, was approved for a $1.00 per hour increase for his being appointed as Zoning Inspector, retroactive to December 2022.The consent agenda was passed, which included the approval of the minutes of last month’s two meetings, as well as the approval of the mayor’s appointment of Jamie Galvan to the Planning Commission with a term expiring December 2026.
