Spring Daze craft fair a success

The weather didn’t keep too many folks away from the Spring Daze craft fair on Saturday at the Prairie Winds Community Center, hosted by Lorraine Mann of Bridgeport.

Fifty vendors set up shop to sell their wares and even more folks came out to make purchases on the cold and blustery day. Farm fresh jellies and jams, baked goods, beauty products, houseplants, candles, soaps, and recycled wood working items were some of the many things for sale. Mann put on the show with the proceeds being donated to the Bridgeport Downtown Appearance Committee to keep Bridgeport beautiful with their various projects. “I think the vendors were great and they said they had good sales despite the water. I appreciate everyone’s support of these shows. It brings shoppers to our town and businesses too.”

A gun raffle and concession stand were hosted by the Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Department Dive Team and they will be using their proceeds for dive equipment. The 50/50 raffle made $107 and split with the winner, Mary Verde.
