The opening week of the season was a busy one with a pair of tournaments for the Bridgeport boys golf team. After teeing off in the season-opening Mitchell Invitational last Tuesday, the Bulldogs hosted their home tournament on Thursday at Court House and Jail Rock Golf Course. Bridgeport put its home-course advantage to good use by earning a second-place finish.
The Bulldogs carded a 351 to place second behind Mitchell, which won with a 329.The 351 shot by the Bulldogs was 12 strokes lower than the 363 they tallied at Mitchell.
A trio of Bulldogs medaled in the top 10 in their home invite.
